E-Media Veteran Dave Iannone Joins Red 7 Media to Lead Internet Business Growth

NORWALK, CT (April 12, 2007) – Interactive media veteran Dave Iannone has joined Red 7 Media's senior executive team as the company's Director of Interactive Business Strategy, a newly created position designed to facilitate significant growth of Red 7 Media's online footprint in the event and publishing industries.

At Red 7, Iannone will take the lead role in developing and managing the interactive businesses across the company's portfolio of magazine brands, which include FOLIO and Circulation Management in the publishing sector; and Event Marketer, Event Design, and Agenda in the event industry.

Iannone was most recently the Vice President of the Interactive Division at Cygnus Business Media, where he oversaw the launch of nearly 30 business-to-business vertical Web properties, including leading security portal SecurityInfoWatch.com, as well as AirportBusiness.com, ImagingInfo.com, and SDCExec.com.

Dave built Cygnus' Interactive Division from scratch, including design, technology and content teams, driving multi-million dollar revenue. In 2005, he was named one of MIN Magazine's 21 Most Intriguing People in media. The company is among the B2B industry’s leaders in launching webcasts, podcasts, blogs, directories, communities, content-driven features and more.

He is also the founder of one of B2B's most visited and comprehensive Web sites in Firehouse.com, a Cygnus portal for the fire, rescue and emergency medical services community. The site, with more than 500,000 monthly unique visitors, was the recipient of FOLIO's Eddie Award for top B2B Web site in 2006, and was a past recipient of the Jesse H. Neal Award. He also led the acquisitions of Officer.com and Fire-EMS.net during his tenure at Cygnus.

Iannone was formerly a newspaper journalist and photographer, and owned a print and online marketing and communications business. Based in Maryland, Iannone is a volunteer Firefighter/EMT in Hyattsville, MD, and serves on the Board of Directors of Maryland Media, Inc., a non-profit organization overseeing the student publications at the University of Maryland-College Park.
