Red 7 Media is seeking an Associate Editor to join our team.
We are looking for a multi-tasking associate editor to help us grow our Best Events magazine franchise. The readers of Best Events are meeting planners and special event managers. In this position, you will handle not only writing and reporting, but coordinating freelancers in different markets and managing the daily demands of the website and e-newsletters.
Red 7 Media (www.red7media.com) is a privately-held diversified media company headquartered in Norwalk, CT. We publish market-leading magazines and newsletters, and also produce conferences and events.

Requirements:
- 2-4 years of journalism experience.
- Strong writing and reporting skills.
- An understanding of magazine production with experience in posting web content and e-newsletters.
- Experience developing web-based features and social media engagement strategies a plus.
- Strong organizational skills
- An ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A willingness to pitch in and a can-do attitude.
- Knowledge of marketing a plus; events and trade shows a huge plus.
